Tools for Change

Books

I haven't seen any books on diet or exercise that really stand out, but if you'd like to know how I lost 60 pounds in 9 months drop me a line!

In the Mind area, Dr. Richard Wiseman's "The Luck Factor" is a read I strongly recommend. It seems luck is a learned behaviour, and like any habit it can be modified! Exercises to change your luck are included!

In the Spirit department, I've got two great recommendations for starters, both by Dr. Wayne Dyer: "Getting in the Gap" is a great primer on meditation. Substitue the sound "aaah" for the first ten words of The Lord's Prayer if, like me, the dogma makes you twitchy. The other is "The Power of Intent", a book that gets right to the heart of why I felt compelled to build this site.

I've got three for you under Finance. The first is really 2 books in one. It's "The One Minute Millionaire" by Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hansen. It's an overview of the process of creating wealth. One side of all the pages is a 'just-the-facts' presentation, the other side of every page presents the same info in the form of a fictionalized story that's actually drawn fom real life! If you don't get goosebumps and the urge to try something yourself, keep your day job! The next two are from Robert Kiyosaki: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", and "Cash Flow Quadrant". These two will change the way you look at money.
